Piper Whelan grew up on a ranch in southern Alberta, where books were her constant companions, and her imagination had plenty of space to run wild. She studied English and history at the University of Alberta and journalism at the University of King’s College. A journalist for more than a decade, her work has appeared in Canadian Cattlemen, Western Horse Review, and many other publications. Today she uses her storytelling and research skills to write historical fiction laced with magic, mythology, and romance.
